According to its CEO, Glen Rabie, the leading provider of business intelligence tools (BI) and analytics, Yellowfin, is about to make the multilayer analysis for geospatial analytical « faster, simpler and easier that it was never  »  with the release of the next iteration of its platform BI: Yellowfin 7.1.

Yellowfin 7.1 will be officially available with a series of Webinars organized on  Wednesday 27 and Thursday, August 28, 2014 .

« Yellowfin 7.1 will come with a card that will include world standard levels of detail for the zoomed analysis, » explained Rabie. « This map will allow users to quickly and easily create stunning maps without using WMS layers or sources without having to use Google Maps as a base.  »

Rabie explained that using a base layer understandable to support a cartographic analysis was vital because it provides the context needed to make more serious location-based data.

« This development will be a significant improvement in capacity  geospatial analytical  Yellowfin, « commented Rabie. « Instead of drawing a map layer of a third party – such as Google Maps – Yellowfin use shape files to create an image. Finally users can export multilayer boards, supplemented by a base layer, directly to PDF to collaborate and share with colleagues.  »

Rabie also noted that because users would not need to draw their map layers of third party suppliers, cards Yellowfin have a new video and a new sensation, and mapping analysis could also be conducted in the off-line environment intranet.

Moreover, the new layer of native based Yellowfin accelerate the creation of content by allowing users to quickly and easily navigate between different types of cards, while eliminating the need to write several reports during the creation of multilayer boards. Query performance will also be improved because users will no longer need to manage separate reports to generate and display of multilayer boards.
